Coming off rough home losses against Rabun-Gap, the Panthers and Lady Panthers will get no pity from a high energy team on Thursday night when the Cherokee Braves open their 2018-2019 season in enemy territory. Dictating the pace of the game will be a crucial part to ending the night with a win for the home teams.
The responsibility of maintaining a comfortable pace will rest on the shoulders of senior point guard Jay Bueck for the men’s varsity and sophmore point guard Neveah Tran for the women’s varsity. Success will follow if they stay patient and find the open shooters while avoiding costly turnovers.
